Itinerary
Meeting point: your place of accommodation in Santa Marta
Pick-up time: Between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM

The day begins with a welcome from a local Indigenous guide at the main entrance of the community. At this moment, an introduction is given about the rules of coexistence and the worldview of the Arhuaco people, establishing a respectful connection between visitors and the sacred territory.
Visit to the Rubber Tree – Sacred Site
The first stop on the tour is the majestic rubber tree, a ceremonial place filled with energy and deep spiritual meaning. This space represents the sacred bond between the community and Mother Nature.
Tour of Cacao Plantations
The journey continues to the native cacao plantations, considered among the best in the country for their purity and flavor. You will learn about its organic cultivation, its economic importance, and its symbolic role within Indigenous tradition.
Immersion in Community Life
In the heart of the village, you will meet leaders and members of the community who will share their stories, customs, and ancestral knowledge. These interactions provide an understanding of how the Arhuaco culture views and protects the balance of nature as an essential part of existence.
Handicraft Exhibition: Mochila Weaving
You will witness the art of weaving traditional mochilas, handmade by Indigenous women. These bags are not only functional objects but also carriers of symbols, stories, and spirituality.
Ecological Walk and Cultural Observation
Walk along the natural trails and village streets accompanied by your guide, discovering sacred sites, medicinal plants, and ritual elements such as the poporo, cotton, coca leaf, and fique. Each element holds essential cultural and spiritual value.
